Texas

Fort Sam Houston – San Antonio, Texas RMTs

Type of Project: 210 KWt parabolic throug RMT system.

This installation delivers solar power to a common hot water system intended for showers and air conditioning to many of the army base medical facility buildings.

We manufactured and installed the solar collectors. The project was installed through an ESPC (Energy Savings Performance Contract) with the U.S. Army with the aim of lowering energy consumption and reducing costs for the federal government.

The system is made up of 129 RMT modules, with a total net surface area of 1,377.95 sq. ft. (420 m ²) that supply hot water by means of a heat exchanger to a common distribution network. The large amount of water present in the cycle acts to provide thermal storage and enables a hot water supply even after dark.
